My name is Ann Nolan and I'm an Outreach Coordinator/Producer and Presenter here in Community Radio Kilkenny City but let me tell you a bit about how I got involved, I was sitting in a friend’s car one day and we happened to be listening to Community Radio and he said I should inquire about it because I have a great love of dance music so this made me approached the station and asked about getting involved, this is where I was introduced to Pat Tracey. My first taste of studio life was on “Community In Actions” with Martha Bolger who showed me how the studio worked and how the programs were made and that was it, I was hooked or as they say, “I had the radio bug” That was at the end of the 2015 license so I only was involved for 8 weeks but then in 2016, Declan Gibbons rang me to say that the station was back on air, he asked if I would like to come in and help out at reception which I jumped at the chance but the rest is history. My biggest achievement was going on air in 2017 with my own show which highlights my love of dance and EDM music but also it brings my knowledge and understanding of this type of music to a younger audience. To date I have been involved in the production of many a show and program including our news and current affairs show, Kilkenny Today as well as winning a CRAOL award for the Co Production of “About Kilkenny with Gavin Allman”
