Community Radio Kilkenny City came up trumps over the weekend. After been nominated for an award in the category of Age Friendly, at the Kilkenny Chamber’s flagship event the Kilkenny Business awards on Saturday night, which was held in the Lyrath hotel’s convention centre. Hosted by popular broadcaster Marty Whelan, the event brought together over 600 representatives of local enterprise, to celebrate success, innovation, and excellence across the county. Categories ranged from,Customer Service Excellence Award, Design & Craft Award to Family Business of the Year.
This year there was additions of six new categories, on of which was the Age Friendly award. Station manager Jackie O’Neill was over the moon when the station came out on top in the category on the night, taken home a beautiful Glass trophy. A big well done to all at Community Radio Kilkenny City.
