  • The Money Advice and Budgeting Service is a free, confidential and independent service funded thorough the Citizens Information Board. MABS assist people who have debt problems, who are in difficulty paying a mortgage or who are facing legal action because of debt. They also provide information and access to Insolvency Services.   • Lacken Pitch and Putt Club are now open for the new seasons membership and are looking for new members and they are open 7 days per week from 9.30am to 9pm from Monday to Friday and 11am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday and from the first Tuesday in May, they will be holding a tournament each Tuesday for members and non members starting at 6.30pmand for more information contact 0868661105 or visit their Facebook page

  • Novena of Our Lady of Fatima takes place between 5th-13th of May daily at 10.30am and 7.30pm and on Sundays at 3pm with Celebrant Fr Colm Mannion of the Black Abbey Kilkenny

  • Southeast Chapter of the Irish Woodturners Guild will be launched by Kilkenny Senior Hurling Manager Brian Cody on Thursday, 10th May at 6.45pm in the Main Concourse of St Luke’s General Hospital Kilkenny

  • The chapter House at St Mary’s Cathedral are holding a FREE concert on Sunday 13th of May at 7pm. This is in in conjunction with Kilkenny Community Orchestra with conductor Sonja Codogan and its Brandenburg Concerto No 4 by J.S.   • Kilkenny Academy of Dance are having their production of Alice in Wonderland at the Watergate Theatre from May 16th to 20th with performances are at 7pm from May 16th to 19th with 2pm matinee shows on May 19th and 20th .

  • A Table Quiz, organised by SOS Kilkenny, will take place at 8pm On May 18th at the Village Club in Kilkenny in aid of participants of the Special Olympics Ireland games.

  • A Joe Dolan Tribute night will take place in Threecastles Community Hall on Friday the 18th of May at 9:00pm with doors open at 8:30pm and all proceeds go to Prague House Community Home and Threecastles hall fund.

  • The Ciara Lawlor Memorial 5k Run / walk will take place in The Castle Park on Saturday May 20th at 11am. Registration for the event will take place at the Tennis Club from 10am. All members and friends of O’Loughlin Gaels are invited to take part alongside the senior hurling players at 10:30am to run in support of the Lawlor family and remember Ciara. All proceeds to be donated to the Ciara Lawlor Memorial for the charity The Ataxia Foundation.

  • There is a table quiz in aid of Relay for life in Langtons Ballroom on Friday 25 May between 8pm -11pm

  • VTOS Kilkenny Art and Ceramics Exhibition which will take place in MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre on Friday 25th of May 2018 and this exhibition showcases the Art and Ceramics works created by the students of VTOS Kilkenny.

  • Community Bingo is on every Wednesday at 8pm in The Orchard House.

  • The Kilkenny Language Club meets every Wednesday from 7pm at the Glendine Inn and new members are always welcome.

  • There is a walk in open access clinic every Monday except for the bank holiday’s between 5pm and 6pm at Ardu in Kickham Street. all are welcome.

  • Aware support group takes place every Wednesday at 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s court, Patrick’s street Kilkenny. This support group is for those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and mood related conditions. No referral is needed. For more information visit www.aware.ie

  • Teach Tom have a coffee dock every Thursday from 10 am till 12:30pm. there is tea, coffee and scones for everyone. All are welcome.

  • A stroke support group takes place on the last Friday of every month at 2:30 pm in the Cardiac Rehab unit at St. Luke’s hospital Kilkenny. all stroke survivors, family members and carers welcome.   • The Involvement Centre at 10 Collier Lane is Wellness Centre which offers a warm and welcoming place for people who are suffering with mental health issues and for their family and friends but all are welcome . Opening Hours are as follows Tuesday 11am-1pm, Wednesday 3.30pm-5pm, Thursday 11am-4pm, Friday 11am-1pm, Saturday 11am-4pm, Sunday 3pm-5pm. Contact them on 0567712400 for more information
