Congrats to the New Kilkenny’s 2018 Rose Helena Hughes

“Congratulations to the newly chosen Rose of Kilkenny 2018 Helena Hughes”

The twenty five year old Fashion Buying and Managent student who works as a Buying Assistant in Brown Thomas’ Head Office, will go on to represent Kilkenny at the Rose of Tralee final which takes place in August.

It was an incredible night for Kilkenny and an incredible night for women!!

Twenty-seven talented young women gathered in the Berkeley Suite to take part in the final of the competition to select this years representitive for the Rose of Tralee.

Over the preceeding months these proud and dignified young women have come together not to be jugded but to share ideas, form friendships and learn from eachother.

The standard among this years entrants was extreamly high. Kilkenny can be very proud of its young ladies. Educated, dignified and amiable. If this is a true reflection of the best Kilkenny has to offer than we can breath a sign of relief and justifable awe at Kilkennys days ahead, it will indeed be in good hands.

Congratulations to each one of the contestants and to Lyn Moloney and Steve Cronly who did an incredible job in organising this years competition, it was a true celebration of women!!”
